ISW Networking

ISW community networking is constantly at work in a variety of ways, many in subtle and often invisible ways. For example, ISW's Crisis and Social Program provides confidential counseling and assistance in the event of family crisis and emergencies. Clock here for more details of Crisis Committee.

Similarly, Medical Referral Service offers assistance through its network of Indian physicians in the event of extenuating circumstances, medical difficulties. Our quarterly Seminar Series educates our community by bringing into focus such topics as Social Security, Wills and Trusts, and Dieting and Healthy Eating. Sandesh, our quarterly Newsletter and many flyers and mailings keeps community posted on the happenings in the community. Finally, the Community Directory & Handbook links the entire community, its businesses, and provides vital day-to-day information to complete the networking.

Bridges with the Mainstream

We indulge in a variety of activities to bridge and bond with the mainstream of our adapted home. Several of our members contribute under ISW Banner to such community projects as Clean Worcester City project, Walk for Hunger, Bishop's Dinner, and free medical screening for the homeless. We represent India at the city and town sponsored cultural events. Most notable of all, ISW's India Day has become an annual event in the central New England. This day long event held during the week of India's Independence Day is visited by thousands. This is what makes us a window into the cultural heritage of India.
